Roofing

The U.S. non-residential roof market accounts for approximately 60% of all U.S. roofs. Over a 30 year life span, Spray Polyurethane Foam (SPF) roof systems have proven to provide a cost savings of between 10% and 50% less on average than comparably insulated membrane roof systems.

SPF has been used as a roofing and insulation material for over 45 years. During this time, foam roofing systems have proven to be dependable, long lasting, and very affordable. Today there are foam roofs that have been in place for decades, and by all appearances they should be able to last indefinitely as long as they are properly maintained.

Rhino Linings® offers many highly efficient roof insulation systems. Choose from DuraTite® SPFs and the array of roof coatings for your application. Rhino Linings covers the gamut of roof coatings from urethane, silicone to acrylic coatings for project needs.

Rhino Linings Roof Coating

Urethane [DuraTite 1175, DuraTite 1285DuraTite 2185]

Urethane coatings provide a highly durable surface that protect the roofing system from a wide variety of conditions. They typically have higher tensile strength and tear resistance than silicone and acrylic coatings. Urethanes resist expansion and contraction of roof systems especially around penetrations or on wall flashings where a building endures the most abuse. Aliphatic urethanes will not chalk or degrade in UV light, allowing them to maintain their appearance as well as their film integrity. They provide long-term protection from UV exposure. Depending on the urethane, some can be applied when the temperature is as low as 40°F.

Silicone
[DuraTite 1380DuraTite 1395, DuraTite 1395B]

Silicone coatings are inorganic coatings based on solvents, not water. They are breathable, UV and weather resistant. Silicone coatings are popular in cold climates. Apply when the temperature is above 40°F. These are moisture cured meaning moisture in the atmosphere acts as a system catalyst. Low humidity areas will require longer cure times or the addition of a catalyst. They cure quickly, approximately 2 hours in ideal conditions.

Acrylic [DuraTite 1065DuraTite 1070]

A key advantage of acrylic topcoats is that they can be continually recoated, so you can renew and protect your roof year after year. Acrylic should be applied when the temperature is higher than 50°F. Most acrylic coatings are highly reflective white and can reflect solar heat and help keep roof temperatures low. Acrylic coatings are water-based, breathable, UV and weather resistant. They cure quickly, approximately two-thirds less time needed for urethane coatings.

Rhino Linings Roof Primer & Adhesive

Primer [DuraTite 1150P

Primers aid the adhesion between roof surfaces and coatings. They can help seal and tie-up moisture before applying spray polyurethane foam or roof coating.

Low Rise Adhesive [DuraTite LRA]

Typically used in retrofitting/refurbishing roof tops, low rise adhesives secure board stocks to most roof substrates.
